Just hours into his presidency and saying there was “no time to waste,” President Joe Biden signed several executive orders addressing the COVID-19 pandemic, the economic crisis, climate change and issues around racial inequities. Sitting in the Oval Office as the 46th president, Biden signed an order that reenters the U.S. into the Paris climate accord, which former President Donald Trump had withdrawn from in 2017.
